To provide easy access to outdoor, high-quality, professional movement classes to all corners of Prospect Park. To give NYC residents more reasons to inhabit public space and be outside. To provide instructors with a living wage.
We’re looking for teachers who are:
Experienced and Certified
We are looking for teachers who are ready to serve any student that arrives for class. Experience leading diverse group classes is a must. We will ask you for your teaching resume when you apply.
Love Prospect Park
It’s different teaching yoga in the park. There are challenges to contend with that are not present in a studio environment. We don’t have props for our students, we can’t control the sounds around us, there might be people watching or a stray soccer ball. If you feel excited to lead classes in the park despite the challenges then please apply! If you feel stressed by these factors, this job probably isn’t for you.
Brooklyn-Based
You live, work or socialize in Brooklyn, and ideally all three. No shade on any other borough or country. It’s just that we are interested in serving the local community and we want our instructors to be part of that community. Also, no one likes a long commute. It makes us cranky.
