Class Descriptions

We offer high-quality yoga/movement classes outdoors in Prospect Park.

  • All levels, all experiences, all bodies, all humans welcome!

    This class is open to the teacher's interpretation. It is an all-levels vinyasa-based class that might include any/all/or none of the following:

    • Strong and creative sequences

    • Longer holds in your favorite postures

    • Other adjacent movement modalities like pilates or tai-chi

    • Yogic philosophy

    • Laughter and moments of lightness

    • Meditation in natue

    • Long savasana/constructive rest

    • Something entirely different

  • Yoga is a system of physical postures, breathing techniques and sometimes meditation often practiced in Western cultures to promote physical and emotional well-being. Our beginners classes are accessible to folks with zero or little yoga experience. We start with the foundations to help you get the full benefit of a yoga practice regardless of experience level.

  • Pilates is a movement technique developed by Joseph Pilates. It uses core-focused exercises to promote strength, flexibility, mobility, balance, alignment and most important of all - body awareness. The principles of the Pilates method are breath, concentration, control, precision, center and flow. In class we combine these elements with contemporary ideas of alignment and therapeutics. Pilates is a wonderful way to balance and enhance your Yoga practice.
